Twitter Co-Founder Evan Williams Steps Down From Board After 12 Years

Twitter Inc said Friday that one of its co-founders, Evan Williams, will retire as a member of its board of directors at the end of the month.

Williams, who also announced the change in a series of tweets, is currently the executive director of the online publications website Medium and also served as CEO of Twitter.

“I’m very lucky to have served on the @Twitter board for 12 years (since there was a meeting). It has been very interesting, educational and, at times, challenging,” he wrote.
