Saina Nehwal can deliver much under Pullela Gopichand if she focuses on fitness, says Vimal Kumar

After the surprise of Saina Nehwal with coach Vimal Kumar, it has now emerged that shuttler  ace decided to change after a bronze at the recently concluded Badminton World Championships in Glasgow.

World No. 12 will return to the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy to work with Mulyo Handoyo and other coaches at the National Camp in Hyderabad.

The Olympic bronze medalist expressed her desire to return to the academy on Monday via Twitter saying she had been thinking of moving to Hyderabad for a while. “Saina told me about moving after we returned from the Championship. She had sent a message to me after returning (from Glasgow) that she is nursing a slight injury to the hamstring and that I wanted to give her a chance for a week or 10 days (at the Gopichand Academy), which also means that she can also be with her parents and friends (back home). She was losing all of them and I told her I should give her a try and explore the possibilities ” ,
