Asia Cup Hockey: Gurjant Singh Salvages India Against Korea

Striker Gurjant Singh saved the day with a last-minute draw when India won a 1-1 draw against Korea in their first Super 4 match in the tenth Asian Cup men’s hockey tournament on Wednesday. Undefeated India looked the most convincing team in the tournament so far, but the dangerous and defensive Koreans came temptingly to record a surprising victory over the Manpreet Singh-led team. Despite enjoying the share of possession of the lions and having better scoring opportunities, the Indian strikers in form had difficulties to break the resolute Korean defense.
