Google Maps to display speed limits in Android, iOS app

Google Maps has implemented its speed limit feature available to all Android and iOS users in more regions, including the United States, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

Android police reported that the show is now live in the areas of New York, Los Angeles and Minnesota in the US.

As of July 2017, the function was only available in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

The function will show the speed limit on the roads in the left corner of the application.

In addition to the speed limit, a camera icon indicates the location of the speed cameras to alert drivers of upcoming speed traps. Speed camera icons will be extended to users in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Russia, as well as users in the United Kingdom and the US.
