New Delhi: in a major security problem in the Parliament complex, a car crashed into a barricade after trying to enter through the wrong door on Tuesday.

The car reportedly tried to enter through the same door from where the terrorists launched an appalling attack on Parliament in 2001. Sources said the car stopped just before the spikes, which were activated and broke the car’s bumper. According to the ANI news agency, the car belongs to the MP Congress of Manipur Dr Thokchom Meinya. He was not in the car at the time of the incident.

As soon as the car hit the peaks, the security personnel took positions according to the standard operating procedure established after the Parliament’s attack in 2001.

A similar incident involving a taxi rang the alarm bells in December last year.
