Railroads of India has mega plans to celebrate the historic occasion. Long before the Shatabdi Express, Gatimaan Express and Train 18 Vande Bharat Express, Indian Railways took an innovative step to launch the fast passenger train on March 3, 1969. It remains one of the premium trains in the country and heritage. Attached to him simply refuses to disappear even in 2019.
Eastern Railways has drawn up plans to make the trip memorable this time. A greeting stamp will commemorate the special occasion, as Rajdhani Expess passengers will receive their best wishes and greetings from the General Manager, Eastern Railway Harindra Rao. Passengers will be welcomed with new sheets and disposable napkins with the 50 years of the Rajdhani Express train.
Apart from this, there will be a special ceremony to cut the cake. After boarding the train, passengers will see special decals attached to different train cars. The railway personnel deployed on today’s train will receive a special badge to use. The shelves that communicate the greeting message will be installed in five different locations. The welcome message will be displayed on the video wall of the station, on the train’s destination boards and will be communicated through the public address system of the station and on the train.
Route of Rajdhani Express: the prestigious 12301 Howrah Rajdhani Express runs between Howrah and New Delhi. It has stops in Asansol, Dhanbad, Parasnath, Gaya, Deen Dayal Upadhaya crossing, Allahabad and Kanpur. It takes around 17 hours to get to the national capital. On Sundays, 12305 Howrah Rajdhani goes from Howrah to New Delhi with stops at Barddhaman, Madhupur, Jasidih, Patna, the Dead Dayal Upadhaya junction, the Allahabad junction and the center of Kanpur.
