France Extends Complete Solidarity With India In Fight Against Terrorism

On Friday, France extended its full solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism in all its forms, as it welcomed the easing of tensions between India and Pakistan and the release of IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman.

“I welcome the easing of tensions between India and Pakistan, as well as the release of the Indian Air Force pilot detained in Pakistan, I applaud the decision and the responsibility of the two governments and urge them to resume the bilateral dialogue “said the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean. – Yves Le Drian said.

France, which assumes the presidency of the Security Council of the United Nations from Friday, will do everything possible so that those responsible for the terrible attack in Pulwama are sanctioned, he said.

USA The United Kingdom and France presented on Wednesday a new proposal in the UN Security Council to appoint the head of the JeM terrorist group, Masood Azhar, as a global terrorist, a list that will subject him to a global travel ban, the freezing of assets and the arms embargo.

The Sanctions Committee of the Security Council will have 10 business days to consider the new proposal presented by the three members.
