BJP has given four women CMs to India: Sushma tells Rahul Gandhi


Ahmedabad (Gujarat) Emerging strong against the remark by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi that the BJP is “anti-woman”, Sushma Swaraj, Minister of Foreign Affairs, The party has delivered four heads of ministers to the country.

While interacting with more than one Lakh woman on Saturday in Gujarat in Ahmedabad, Swaraj said: “Rivals call the BJP anti-women party but it gave four women ministers and four women governors to the country.There are also six women Ministers under the government of BJP. ”

She added: “I was appointed EAM in May 2014 and now Nirmala Sitharaman is the Minister of Defense. Two of every four members of the Cabinet Security Committee (CCS) are women.”

In announcing her party, the BJP leader said: “Before our government, no woman had been a member of CCS, which comprises the Home Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and Finance.”

Earlier, the vice-president of Congress, during a program at his Gujarat rally, attacked the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and accused them of neglecting women and said it was not interested in women’s rights.

“How many women are there in the RSS?” “Have you ever seen women in shorts working with RSS?” “I’ve never seen, you see women in Congress all the time, in RSS you will never see women,” Gandhi said.

Raising against Rahul Gandhi for his comments, Swaraj added that such words do not fit the stature of a political leader.

The vice president of Congress received a negative reaction from BJP and RSS for his statement, which was considered contemptuous for women. RSS previously also demanded an apology from the Congress leader for his comments.
