“I am surprised that it was the United Progressive Party (UPA) government that tried to demolish the Ram Setu, but the Supreme Court suspended it. In fact, the then government headed by the Union Congress presented a statement sworn in the Supreme Court and even named Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as a ‘myth.’ “Now, when Rahul Gandhi visited the Dwarkadhish Temple, a question arises as to whether his party’s affidavit was correct or is he right?” said Adityanath , and demanded: “I feel that Rahul should clarify to the nation on this subject”.

The UP chief minister also said that if the tribes (adivasis) are outside the mainstream of the country, then only Congress is responsible for it.

Earlier in the day, Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Congress calling it a “symbol of devastation.”

Addressing a rally in Valsad, Adityanath blamed Congressional Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“It is because of this that when terrorists like Ishrat Jahan were killed by security forces in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi came to support it.” Congress is not a symbol of development , but of devastation, “Adityanath said.

He said that Rahul Gandhi was confusing the people of Gujarat during his electoral demonstrations.

“I came here to inform you about the reality of the development of Gujarat, as recently the prince congressman (Rahul Gandhi) had tried to confuse. Nowadays, these people talk about development in Gujarat, which never discussed the development in the country in the last 70 years, “said the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath also said that Rahul Gandhi was talking about the development of Gujarat when he himself has not developed his parliamentary electorate Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

“When Gujarat witnessed heavy flooding, Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah came here, but Rahul Gandhi fled to Italy,” Adityanath said.
