After PM Modi meeting, Saudi Crown Prince talks about $100 bn investment opportunity in India


The crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, said his country will see the opportunity to invest up to 100 billion dollars in various sectors of India in the coming years. (Live updates)

During a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the crown prince said that his country had invested $ 44 billion since 2016 in India, when Prime Minister Modi had visited the country and had benefited from it.

“We believe that (investment) opportunities in India are worth more than $ 100 billion. Together, we want these investments to be beneficial for both India and Saudi Arabia, “he said.

“We want to diversify into other areas, such as petrochemicals and storage,” he said.

“We want the relations between India and Saudi Arabia to be beneficial for both countries,” he said.

“These investments will help benefit the Indians in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people who work in India,” he said.

He said that Saudi Arabia had taken out a page of the book from India and had invested in the IT sector after the 2016 PM Modi visit.

“We know that India is strong in the IT sector and we have invested a lot in Saudi Arabia in the IT sector and we have benefited from it,” he said.
