A 21-year-old woman, Manimajra, reported that she was raped by eight to 10 men after being held captive in a guest house for three days when she went to look for work, police said Friday.
In a complaint filed with the Chandigarh police on Thursday, the woman said she was held captive in a guesthouse in Morni Hills, where the defendants took turns raping her.
The vice-superintendent of police, Satish Kumar, said: “The woman alleged that from July 15 to 18, between 8 and 10 people took turns to rape her and later fled the guest house on July 18.”
She said that one of the defendants was known by her husband and had promised to give her a job in the guest house, police said.
The police have arrested two employees of the guest house on the connection. The two arrested were identified as Honey and Avtar. They were sent to 14 days of judicial custody by the district and the court of sessions.
