NEW DELHI: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited veteran actor Dilip Kumar at his home in Mumbai on Monday night. The businessman Faisal Farooqui used the Twitter account of Dilip Kumar to publish about the visit of SRK. He also shared an image of both stars together. “@iamsrk came to visit Saab at his house today,” the tweet said. Dilip Kumar turned 95 last December. Shah Rukh Khan, 52, was photographed in front of Dilip Kumar’s residence. This is SRK’s second visit to the house of Dilip Kumar in the last six months. The last time he visited Dilip Kumar was when the acting legend was discharged from the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he was being treated for dehydration and kidney malfunction in August 2017.

Shah Rukh Khan was put in the shoes of Dilip Kumar when he played the role of Devdas. Dilip Kumar played Devdas in the 1955 film directed by Bimal Roy, while SRK appears as Devdas in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2002 film. SRK and Dilip Kumar also share the record for the most triumphs in Filmfare Best Actor.

In one of his previous interviews with the PTI news agency, Shah Rukh had said that Dilip Kumar is the “pillar of the film industry”. SRK also covered a special edition of Filmfare magazine (the 100 years of the theme of Indian cinema) with Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.

Meanwhile, on Monday night, Farooqui also posted about the health status of Dilip Kumar.

The party of 95 years of Dilip Kumar was attended only by close friends and relatives. One month before his birthday, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and was recommended to rest completely.

Dilip Kumar has made several visits to the hospital in the last three years with a variety of ailments. He celebrated his 93rd birthday at the hospital, where he was receiving treatment for fever and a swollen leg. He was in the hospital for more than two weeks last August.
