Pulwama terror attack: Notebook and Kabir Singh will not release in Pakistan


The film’s producer, Murad Khetani, said on Thursday he decided not to release his upcoming Notebook and Shahid Kapoor films, which starred Kabir Singh in Pakistan after the Pulwama terror attack.

“We are not releasing Notebook in Pakistan, our next films Kabir Singh and Satellite Shankar will not be released there either,” said Khetani, of Cine1 Studios, on the sidelines of the Notebook promotional event.

Notebook marks the debut as an actor of Pranutan Bahl, daughter of the actor Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of the actor of old Nutan. You will also see the release of Zaheer Iqbal.

Located in Kashmir, the romantic drama film is produced by Salma Khan, Khetani and Ashwin Varde and is scheduled to premiere on March 29.

Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Vanga, is a remake of his own Telugu language movie, Arjun Reddy (2017). Produced jointly by Cine1 Studios and T-Series, the film stars Shahid and Kiara Advani. It opens on June 21.

Directed by Irfan Kamal, Satellite Shankar, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, stars Soraj Pancholi. It will arrive at the movie theaters on July 5.
