AR Rahman is in Los Angeles for the Oscars! The 52-year-old music teacher, who was on the guest list selected for the 91st Academy Awards, shared updates from Los Angeles on Sunday night (which is Monday morning in India). He followed his first position with a picture of himself, dressed in black, on the red carpet. Mr. Rahman’s first post was simple and to the point, in which there is only a glimpse of the Oscar invitation with the details. The photo seems to have been taken on the way from AR Rahman to the Dolby Theater, where the Oscars 2019 take place. AR Rahman made history in 2009 with two Oscars, courtesy of Slumdog Millionaire directed by Danny Boyle. He won the Oscar for the best original song (shared with Gulzar) by Jai Ho and another Oscar statuette for Best Original Score. AR Rahman’s Oscar victories in 2009 made him the first Indian to win two Academy Awards in a single night.
